About the Recipe
The Easiest Autumn Treat: Our 4-Ingredient Rustic Pecan Pie Latte
There is nothing quite like the smell of a freshly baked pecan pie warming up the kitchen on a crisp autumn morning. But let’s be honest—between baking the crust and waiting on the oven, it’s not exactly a quick Tuesday morning luxury.
That is why we created the Rustic Pecan Pie Latte.
Most coffee shop recipes require you to buy expensive, chemical-heavy flavor syrups that sit in your pantry collecting dust. We like to keep things simple at the Mercantile. By starting with a high-quality, naturally flavored coffee bean, you only need four simple pantry ingredients to recreate a gourmet, bakery-style latte right in your own kitchen.
Here is how to brew a cup of comfort in less than five minutes.

Ingredients
* Wooden Barrel Seasonal Pecan Pie Coffee: 6 oz brewed at double strength.
* Oat Milk (or Whole Milk): 4 oz, warmed.
* Pure Maple Syrup: 1 tablespoon (adjust to your sweetness preference).
* Sea Salt: Just a tiny, single pinch.
Preparation
1. Brew Your Base: Brew 6 oz of our Seasonal Pecan Pie Coffee. For a true latte texture, we recommend brewing it at double strength (use twice the amount of coffee grounds you normally would for a 6 oz cup). This ensures the rich, nutty flavor doesn't get drowned out by the milk.
2. Season the Coffee: While your coffee is piping hot, stir in 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup and your tiny pinch of sea salt until fully dissolved.
3. Froth the Milk: Warm your milk on the stove or in the microwave. If you don't have a standard espresso steam wand, don't worry! You can easily froth your milk using a handheld battery frother or by pumping it a few times in a clean French press.
4. Combine and Serve: Pour your velvety, frothed milk gently over your seasoned coffee base. Top with a tiny dusting of cinnamon if you’re feeling festive, and enjoy!
The Secret Note: Don't skip the pinch of salt! A tiny bit of high-quality sea salt cuts through the sweetness of the maple and mimics that rich, buttery "baked pie crust" flavor profile.
